Occupational Therapy Services

This is a list of Sunny Side Up OT services. If you were hoping for a different service, please contact us and we will see if we can help.

Assistive Technology

Meeting together to try out equipment that can help you be more independent. Writing letters (if needed) to explain why you need the equipment. Helping you use the equipment when you get it.

Capacity Building

Meeting together to learn new ways to take care of yourself, learn to cope with challenges and become more independent.

Functional Capacity

A long assessment and report that explains what you can do independently, what you need help with and what support and assistive technology you still need.

Pain Management

For those with chronic pain, we can look at learning about how pain is regulated in our body, find new ways to move, plan daily activities to use the right amount of energy and get the right amount of rest for pain.

Home Modifications

Home modifications are changes to your home to make it safer and easier to get around—minor changes are small things like grab rails, and major changes are bigger things like ramps or bathroom changes. OT helps with home modifications by assessing your needs, looking at your home, and recommending the right changes to keep you safe and independent.

Sensory Diet Planning
Telehealth

A sensory diet is a plan of activities that helps your body and mind feel calm, focused or alert when you need it. Sunny Side Up OT will do a sensory assessment and work together with you to help make a plan that fits your daily life.

Sunny Side Up OT can provide services online. We use Microsoft Teams to do online therapy sessions. This can help if you can't access OT services in person for any reason.
